WHY IS AWAMI SECULARISM DANGEROUS FOR BANGLADESH?

Abid Bahar PhD
Lately, Bangladeshis have been witnessing state sponsored violence against the opposition BNP and Jamat, especially against the Jamati Islami followers. Awami League man and its notorious student wing Chatro League backed by police are seen attacking peaceful protesters, and Hasina government justifies such attacks as attacking the non secular "evil forces" in the country. It says, it wants to abide by the constitution's "secular" spirit in Bangladesh. To actualize this belief it recruited trusted Awami cadres from Gopalganj, from minority community, notorious Awami cadres in the police force. Lately, it sponsored an anti Islamic gathering in Shahbagh to support its stand against some alleged war criminals. (1)
Photo: “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.”
The Awami secularists were seen to attack Muslim people with beard, the Awami police attacking and killing young people suspected of Jamati connection. Its cadres led by Awami minority member cadres attacking and destroying Islamic banks. Further, the government has announced its plans to identify and root out Islamic religious Jamat supporters in every corner of the country. (2)

THE BREEDING GROUND OF THE "SHAH BUGS"
Photo: একজন মুসলিম হিসেবে এই প্রশ্নের উত্তর খোঁজাটা আপনারও দায়িত্ব !!!!!!!!!!!!Are these Indian agents?

Many concerned citizens wonder in opposing the opposition party's democratic rights of protest, especially fighting against the Jamat, and the government's future plan to ban religion based party, whether the Hasina government is throwing the baby with bath water. At the Shahbug gathering, there were stranger non Bangladeshis, some people seen to distribute money, India's Pronob Mukherjee who preached Hinduism at home and secularism in Bangladesh personally paid a visit to Hasina to show Indian solidarity with Hasina government. In all these developments, some political leaders believe, there is Indian involvement of bags of money in this anti Islamic Shahbagh movement. But people tolerated Hasina giving transit to India without a cons us of the citizens. But why attacking Muslims and Islam in Bangladesh? We wonder if Islam is the only obstacle in the Indian plan of Akhanda bharata (India Doctrine) ideology in Bangladesh? (3)
THE ANARCHIST LEAGUES SPILLING BLOOD?
People wonder why the executive, and the government appointed judges are more interested to allow the Gestapo style attack on the opposition but tolerates grave murders like Sagar-Rumi, Bishojit murder, corruption and nepotism committed by government forces; the crime of stock manipulation, Hall mark scandal, Sonali bank looting by Awami leaders. Why the government encouraging the attack on Muslims wearing beard, bloggers attack the Islamic Prophet, and the Quran.? One Ovijit Roy of the Muktomona brands Muslims having virus in their heads and such attack was appreciated by the media? Ovijit particularly recommends for ethnic cleansing of Islam from North South University.(4) Why the Prothom Alo's Motiur Rahman and Daily Star's Anam takes stand with these anti Islamic elements? Why these hate crimes by bloggers, pro-Indian elements are tolerated but not Islam? (5). The reason being, these medias are controlled by anti Islamic moktomona secularists selling the excuse of Bangladesh's liberation war to promote Indian agenda in Bangladesh for which they are called by Bangladeshis as the "Indian razakars in Bangladesh."

Who are these commandos?
WHAT WENT WRONG?
Despite the absence of beyond reasonable doubt in Saydee case his involvement in the war crimes, Bangladeshis wonder why he was awarded death sentence causing mass protests and anarchy in Bangladesh?(6) During Sheikh Mujib's short misrule, imposing the BKSAL one party system, banning newspapers, similar anarchy and secret killing by the India sponsored Rakkhi bahini prevailed but not as openly as we see it during Hasina's second term in office.(7) Alarmed by this dangerous development all over Bangladesh, opposition leaders, human rights activists (local and international), and former freedom fighters like Bangabir Kader Siddique, some sector commanders, Khalida Zia, Ershah, the national conscience, Farhad Mazhar and many others are raising their voice against Awami Secularism, only to be branded as "razakars".(8)

During Mujib's reign we saw hero worshiping of Mujib, Soviet style Stalinist fascist authoritarianism imposed and killing of the opponents prevailed. Imitation of India by "Joy Bangla with Joy Hind" was echoed, but Hasina's ethnic cleansing of Muslims not as openly done as it was practiced as before. We wonder what went wrong, who is behind the creation of the deadly Frankenstein monsters also known as the "Shah Bugs" and for what objectives. In this essay, we want to know what is Awami secularism and why it is dangerous for Bangladesh? To comply with people's wishes is it important to remove this Indian Doctrine from Bangladesh constitution?

  1. Arakan’s awkhuntha racism and extermination of the Rohingya

    Abid Bahar

New report shows that the present anti Rohingya racism in Arakan was originally created by some Bengali Rakhines who illegally entered into Arakan after 1948. The leader of them is Aye Maung. He is also the president of RNDP and the mastermind of the June Rohingya massacre. These Bengali Rakhines were popularly known as the Mogh (pirates) people, the decedents of the Mogh pirates in Medieval Bengal. Aung Aung is right, these bunch members of a cult group are xenophobes believe in the cult of Awkhuntha, they know Arakanese history,” through Awakhuntha which makes them cruel human on earth.” They indoctrinate innocent Rakhines in “Awakhuntha Monastery.” This group not only destroys Rohingyas by killing and destroying their homes, they also destroys Rohingya existence in Arakan by removing Muslim sounding or Rohingya sounding names.
About the nature of their activities, Aung Aung says: There is “no history recorded as Rakhine, there was no Rakhine in the ancient history. I am Buddhist but I love reality. Gautama commands us to follow eight fold paths, no discrimination, no racism, no double standard, what is wrong with my Rakhine Buddhists mentality, why are you insulting our religion, why are you treating Rohingyas as animals? A person who think other human fellow as an animal, he is also animal. Unfortunately, no Rakhine can claim that Arakan is Rakhine’s word. I studied a lot history regarding Arakan and literature, I couldn’t find the words such as Akyab, Arakan, Naf etc. On Myanmar literature, there are thousands of experts, if anyone can prove those words as Myanmar or Rakhine, then I will be his slave as long as he lives. I am not kidding, whoever can write to me I will give the name of place where we can meet. Whatever is going on in Rakhine State is because of Awakhunethas’s propaganda. Dr. Aye Maung and all of his colleagues are Awakhunthas like Dr. Aye Chan and Dr.Aye Kyaw.

“It is still fresh in my mind the day in 1984, Muslims Students were beaten severely and kicked out from the hostel. I was a first year student in Sittwe Degree College, Saya Saw Aung and Saya Tha Zan Maung who were Rakhines became very angry and gave lecture in the class that Rakhine should learn world history to become human, whoever can’t recognize as a human he can’t be a human, he will be lower than animal. I don’t want to be lower than animal. Saya Saw Maung, our Physic teacher
and Saya Tha Zan Maung, our Political science teacher, opened my eyes and from that time I hate those who hate Muslims without reason.

“Now Rakhine are killing Rohingyas ,every Rakhine knows but they were afraid of Rakhine Party. I don’t want to be lower than animal in my next life, even I can give my life for the reality. I don’t want to hide the truth, I don’t want Buddhism as racism, I hate Awakhunstha, I never attend Awakhuntha Monastery.”

I can see Aung Aung is right and there is problems injected by the Bengali Rakhine Mogh illegal immigrants in Arakan. But how to solve it? No doubt, the victims of Arakan’s Awkhuntha racism is unrest in Arakan and the massacre of the Rohingya people.

How to enlighten good Rakhines to stay away from xenophobes like Aye Maung, Aye Chan, KO Ko Gyi and Ashin Nayaka from spreading this racist Awkhuntha anti Buddhist ideology?

It seems that this Awkhuntha pirate world views is spreading among Buddhists all over Burma and Bangladesh. Like Nazism, it is causing disability and human misery in the region. Before it is too late I suggest:

    (1) To stop the illegal Bengali Rakhines entering Arakan with Awkhuntha pirate ideas to indoctrinate the Rakhines of Arakan.

    (2) Detain the marked criminals.

    (3) Educate the common people of citizenship rights based on birth not ethnicity.

  2. HASINA IS THE MAKER OF THE CONTEMPORARY ROHINGYA TRAGEDY: NO PRIZE FOR HASINA!!
    Abid Bahar
Many Awamis without having enough information about the contemporary development of Rohingya problem are even demanding Noble Peace Prize for Hasina. The following facts will inform how Hasina even contributed to to the 2017 tragedy:

    (1) Hasina by killing Bangadesh democracy, politicizing the army, police and turning Bangladesh into an Inian puppet state made Bangladesh look like a cou...ntry Burma can deal with without any threat of war or facing any loses or consequences.

    (2) Hasina appointed Anup Chakma, a Chakma seperatist to the position of Bangladesh ambassador to Burma. This certainly made Burma aware of Bangladesh's policy on Burma. Anup Chakma's nephew was reported to make contacts with Arakani people and leaders.

    (3) From the beginning, Awmis remained anti Rohingya because Awamis saw the Rohingya as if Muslim extremists.

    (4) Hasina government was being blaimed by the UNHCR for stopping the Rohingya in camps who had papers to be resettled in a third country. Many of them still awaiting in camps

    (5) Hasina was so anti Rohingya and the Awamis worked closely with Suu Kui's genocidal government that recently in Sri Lanka's Colombo when Modi, Suu Kyi, Hasina met, Suu Kyi personally thanked Hasina for sharing intelligence report about Rohingya with Burmese government.

All these prove that Hasina until recently remained anti Rohingya. However, lately when hell let lose on the Rohingya, and Bangladeshi people in particular and world opinion in general showed sympathy toward the Rohingya, Hasina the unelected PM realized the danger in remainnig anti Rohingya. She changed her stand from how she behaved in 2012 Burmese massacre of the Rohingya, (when she returned all the Rohingya) now to allowing the Rohingya to enter Bangladesh.

What is next? Can she persuade Suu Kyi to take back the Rohingya and settle them with security with the promise from Burmese government to return back their citizenship?

For sure her friend India with its fundamentalist government wouldn't help her to pressure Burma for a humanitarian solution of the problem. Until then no prize for Hasina. If she is awarded a prize, it should be taken from one killer Suu Kyi to another killer dictator -Sheikh Hasina.

  3. HOW MUJIB’S FRIBBLES KILLED THE VERY SOUL OF BANGLADESH
    Part 1
    Abid Bahar

Mujib made several gross blunders immediately after his return from Pakistan. As the leader replacing Tajuddin, he was entrusted to make some crucial decisions dealing with several national matters about state building and preparing Bangladesh’s fresh identity among nations. They were:

    (1) The number of people died during the war: It appears that he wanted to say three lacs. Not quite knowledgeable in mathematical figures in English, he said three millions. To be sure later on he commissioned a survey to find the right number of people killed and it came up with close to three lacks. But he kept saying some unknown reason the total death as being 3 million. Such uttering of a lie surely was an injustice to the soul of the people killed and causing ordinary people’s respect and confidence in the exact number of people killed.

    (2) National anthem: The choice of Tagore’s plagiarized poem “Sonar Bangla” as the national anthem which in no where in the text doesn’t have the word “Bangladesh” and that surprisingly, the song was written against the identity of East Bengal, historians know it well. The other injustice done to Bangladesh for selecting Tagore's song that Tagore opposed the founding of Dhaka University. These and other issues about Tagore carry enough justifications not to adapt this song as the national anthem of Bangladesh. Mujib in the words of Suhrowardhy was an "illiterate graduate "was more likely to commit this blunder of choosing a plagiarized song as the national anthem of Bangladesh.

    (3) Mujib also made few more unforgiveable mistakes another being to give amnesty to war criminals: Many people believe that Mujib gave amnesty to the war criminals because, he himself betrayed with the nation when he surrendered to the enemy. This was seen as his own inferiority complex about his role during the war.

    (4) Mujib under pressure from India's West Bengali dadas ( the perpetual enemies of Bangladesh) introduced secularism (Dhormo hinita) implicitly dismissing the majority people's culture and religion. This was the greatest mistake he did against Bangladeshi soul.

    (5) Socialism or democracy or both: The bamboozled BKSALI pillars of socialism and democracy perhaps were to make Russia and the Western world happy. In fact he didn't know what he was doing. He was creating a contradicting chaotic idea then known as "Mujibbad."

  4. HOW MUJIB’S FRIBBLES KILLED THE VERY SOUL OF BANGLADESH
    Part 2

    (6) Another ideas was “Joy Bangla, Joy Hind”: “Joy Bangla has a hidden meaning to imply that it has a tendency to be an associate of India rather than Bangladesh to be a sovereign country to stand on its own.

    (7) Mujib's another false flag was his failure to understand our time for transition from being Bengali to a new identity- Bangladeshi. Mujib couldn’t make the shift from being East Bengali or Bengali to Bangladeshi the latter implying a territorial identity to include the non Bengalis within the identity formation of Bangladesh.

“We gave them the chance of undermining us since we (even Sheikh Mujib) created our “identity crisis” by defining “us” as Bangalees, not Bangladeshis. Zainul Abedin

    (8) Mujib’s worst mistake was to remove democratic institutions in favor of a one party dictatorship and in the process he destroyed whatever was left there about Bangladesh.

Mujib’s most of the follies derived mainly from his surrender to the enemy at midnight. This absentee leader upon his return failed to make the balancing act between the two paired identities: Language and religious identity of the majority people of Bangladesh. In other words, Mujib couldn’t do it for several reasons (a) He has always been a populist leader not a statesman to possess foresight in decision making. (b) Mujib the absentee leader not present in the battle field, and after his return couldn’t take more practical decisions (c) Mujib’s worst enemy was he himself. He was a power hungry politician. Once in power, his tendency was to crush the opposition. In the process he killed both the infant democracy and undermined the bureaucracy and imposed his Gopali and Awamis to exploit the resources of the country to the point of what Henry Kissinger called a “bottomless basket case.” (d) In the name of secularism, Mujib perhaps not knowing well also adapted the West Bengali anti Islam narrative as the Awami narrative. (e) Mujib’s Rakkhi bahini’s (an India led private army's) atrocities were another reason for his quick loses of his popularity.

Among the above, Mujib’s absence from Bangladesh during the liberation war was the most serious thing that is living in Pakistan in a bubble during the entre period was the most prominent reason for the Mujib era misfortunes of Bangladesh and in the subsequent era a divided nation with contradictions in identity formation. A wiser and educated Mujib could have tacled all the above matters.

Like a new born child, new nations also need proper guidance and nurturing. In essence, Mujib was a demagogue and knew how to organize his workers to defeat the opposition. If Mujib didn’t surrender, and remained present in the theatre of war, he was more likely and be capable of leading the nation as if like a nurturer. He could have knowledge like Fedal Castro, a statesman to show the direction/ way to the future. But no, Mujib was a power hungry daring man. His absence from the war theatre, his inexperience, but India waiting with its agendas to actualize them through Mujib not only caused a great harm to the newly born nation’s health, but also to its future and shortly after the independence, Mujib's chaotic Donald Trump like ideas collapsed its very infrastructure.

Mujib was meticulous in organizing his cadres to fight his opponents. He was also a gifted speaker but he was not intellectually bright enough to handle complex situations. In the pre liberation period, the decisions he took naturally came from people more intellectually advanced than him such as Tajuddin but in the post liberation Mujib as the "father" took most of the crucial decisions.

It was due to most of the above unforgivable offences, in other words Mujib’s perhaps unintended selling the soul to the so-called Indian “secular devil” that the most proud son of Bangladeshis of 7th March had to end his life brutally killed by some freedom fighters.
